Benjamin Chang, MD is an Associate Chief of Plastic Surgery within the Division of Plastic Surgery and a Professor of Surgery in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Chang co-directs the Hand Transplant Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with Dr. L. Scott Levin. In addition to hand transplantation, his clinical and research interests include congenital hand differences and pediatric hand injuries. 

Dr. Chang was educated at Harvard University and received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at New York University Medical Center, where he took an additional year of training in their Hand Surgery Fellowship.
