Description of Research Expertise
Dr. Pegues’ current research interests include include developing clinical decision support tools to improve testing stewardship and to reduce inappropriate device utilization; evaluating novel technologies and implementation strategies to reduce environmental microbial contamination and infection risk in healthcare setting; and the prevention and control of device-associated infections in high-risk patient populations, including dialysis, oncology, and solid organ transplant.
