Description of Research Expertise
Dr. Massaro-Giordano participates in research for surface disease and dry eye , specifically Sjogrens Syndrome, Graft Vs Host Disease and Neuropathic pain. She has also collaborated with scientists to elucidate the role of a specific protein PAI-2 (Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor Type 2) involved in corneal homeostasis and in the development of a model of the anterior ocular surface.
