Meet Maribeth LeBreton DNP, RN, CRNP, ANP-BC
I knew when I was in high school that I wanted to be a nurse. After I completed my Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) at Villanova University, I started my nursing career as an Intensive Care Unit nurse at Lankenau Hospital (Main Line Health). I completed my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) at the University of Pennsylvania. I started my CRNP career at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
In 1996, our family moved back to my hometown, Lancaster. I was excited to move back home to be close to the rest of my family. I joined Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital in 1997 and have had the unique opportunity to develop multiple programs across the organization. I worked with an interprofessional team to develop the Care Connections program and I am honored to now serve as the first Managing Clinician within Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.
As a Managing Clinician and a CRNP working in a practice, I participate in many committees across Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health which impact patient care, standardizing the way we care for patients with the goal of providing high quality care for all of our patients.
The Care Connections team works with patients who have complex medical and social needs. I enjoy getting to know each of our patients and their support systems as together we work to increase their health and wellness. An important aspect of getting to know our patients is learning their story and what they understand about their health. This was my capstone project for my Doctorate-Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) that I completed in 1995.
My husband and I enjoy enjoy time away during long weekend trips to visit frineds and family.
I feel it is important to give back to the Lancaster Community. I volunteer as a member of the Board of Trustees and on the Executive team of one of our local retirement communities, sit on the Advancement Committee of a local high school and volunteer in outreach programs at my church.
