Meet Dr. Harris

Rebecca Arden Harris ("Arden"), MD, MSc, is an Assistant Professor, primary care physician, and addiction medicine researcher in the Penn Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. After graduating from Haverford College with a BSc in Biology, she attended Thomas Jefferson University for medical school and completed residency training at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. She has also earned a Master of Science in Health Policy Research from Penn. Dr. Harris is board certified in both family medicine and addiction medicine.

Dr. Harris' research centers on substance use disorders, treatment delivery and innovation, and population-level modeling of the drug overdose mortality crisis. Her research has been published in leading medical journals and is supported through an NIH career-development grant.
