Penn Medicine Strategic Plan 2023 - 2028
Serving a Changing World
The Perelman School of Medicine and the University of Pennsylvania Health System are in strong positions at a time of great and unanticipated change, immense need, and a recognition of the increasingly wide lanes through which academic medicine can contribute. This time of profound change has been headlined by the pandemic, but it has also been reflected in so many other dimensions that affect health and health care. For Penn, this has also been a time of unprecedented discovery, productivity, and social contribution.
At this moment, we are an indispensable institution.
The strategic planning process begins with the formation of working groups focused on aspects of our clinical, educational, and research missions, our efforts to serve our environment, community, and people, and our foundational commitment to humanity and equity. Each group will consist of faculty, staff, students and other key stakeholders to broadly represent our large and diverse institution, and the capabilities we can bring to our missions.
We aim to serve a changing world.
