2023 American Heart Associate Heart Walk

Heart walk information graphicThe American Heart Association 2023 Philadelphia Heart Walk is Saturday, November 4 at Citizens Bank Park. Walk with your family, friends, or co-workers toward saving lives. Even if you are unable to attend, donating counts as a big step in the right direction.

Every year, Penn Medicine teams comprising thousands of participants raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the American Heart Association in relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives, and we invite you to create your own and join us in this effort.

Cardiovascular disease occurs every 39 seconds, making it the number one killer of people in the U.S. Heart disease fatally affects more women than every form of cancer combined! And congenital cardiovascular complications are the most common cause of infant deaths from birth defects. Our lives are or will be touched by heart disease and stroke in some way, but we can work together to change that. Every step a walker takes and every dollar donated means more research, more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more medical breakthroughs, and more progress for equitable health.

Because you walk, you’re a supporter of critical research. Because you walk, you’re a community energizer. Because you walk, you’re a lifesaver. Nothing unites us like doing good. Let’s get our hearts pumping, honor survivors, and raise lifesavings funds, together. Join Team Penn Medicine today!
