Dr. Murphy will discuss the COVID-19 current state of affairs, treatment successes and screening best practices. After the presentation, there will be a question and answer session.

Penn Center for Research on Coronavirus and Other Emerging Pathogens: "The Coronavirus Outbreak Symposium"

In response to the global health crisis, and in consultation with leadership of the Perelman School of Medicine, Penn announced a new Center for Research on Coronavirus and Other Emerging Pathogens. The Center aims to advance research to better understand the pathology of the coronavirus, and to support the development of potential vaccines, diagnostic tools, and effective therapies.

The faculty for the Coronavirus Outbreak Symposium on Friday 04/03 includes some of the nation's leading coronavirus researchers, including Center Co-Directors Susan Weiss, PhD, and Frederic Bushman, PhD.
