Lung Transplant Support Group: Finances and Lung Transplantation

Rescheduled from June, please join us for the Monday, August 14th Penn Lung Transplant Support Group meeting as we hear from lung transplant financial coordinator Michelle Plummer, BS. Michelle will share information about important topics such as:

  • Medicare
  • Medicare D and transplant medications
  • Coordination of benefits

In addition to attending the meeting in-person, there are two additional options for participating in the session: online via video conferencing and by telephone. Patients and caregivers can participate in the support group from any computer with a microphone and camera, any mobile device or telephone.

If you'd like to join us for the support groups online with audio and video, here's how to get connected:

  1. Download the free BlueJeans (all one word) video conferencing app to your mobile device or computer.
  2. Join the support group session by clicking Join Meeting.
  3. The session will automatically open in the app and you will be able to choose video and audio or audio only.

To join the session with audio only using a telephone:

  1. Call toll free: 1-888-240-2560
  2. Enter the meeting ID number: 165201017
  3. Press #

Please plan to join the meeting a few minutes before it is scheduled to begin. It’s also important to mute your microphone when you’re not using it to speak to eliminate any potential issues with distracting sounds being heard by the entire group.
