Join Team Philadelphia in the Transplant Games of America: August 2-7, 2018

On August 2-7, 2018, approximately 9,000 transplant recipients from the United States will gather in Salt Lake City, Utah for the Transplant Games of America to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation, and compete in Olympic-style athletic competitions.

Created as a celebration for all those whose lives were touched by organ donation, the Transplant Games unite participants with common goals of raising awareness about organ and tissue donation and to increase the number of registered organ, tissue and eye donors.

Who can compete?

The Transplant Games of America were designed to display the talents and abilities of individuals who have undergone life-saving transplant surgeries.

Competitive events are open to organ, tissue and corneal transplant recipients, living donors and bone marrow recipients. Donor families are invited to attend special events including Transplant Workshops, the Donor Tribute Ceremony, a butterfly release and much more.

The Transplant Games include competitions in the following sports and activities:

  • Cornhole (Bean Bag Toss)
  • Cycling

  • Lyrics for Life
  • Pickleball

  • Table Tennis

  • Texas "Hold-em Poker"
  • Track and Field
  • Trivia Challenge
  • Virtual Triathlon
  • Volleyball
  • Youth Olympiad
