Nurse Practitioner Jaclyn Golato Named “Unsung Hero” of the Year

Jaclyn Golato, CRNP - lung transplant nurse practitioner

Congratulations to Jaclyn Golato, CRNP, on being recognized as one of the 2019 Wishes and Dreams for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s “Unsung Heroes".

This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of people whose efforts make a positive difference in the lives of cystic fibrosis patients and in the fight to cure and control cystic fibrosis. Nominees may be individuals in the medical community, volunteers, cystic fibrosis patients or cystic fibrosis family members.

At Penn Medicine, Jaclyn works with many of our patients with chronic lung diseases, like cystic fibrosis, who end up needing a transplant.

“Jackie has been an excellent addition to our transplant team,” noted Denis Hadjiliadis, MD, Program Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program. “She is knowledgeable, hardworking and efficient and her collaboration with the cystic fibrosis team is smooth and seamless; however, her most important quality is her compassion and her ability to connect with patients with chronic disease has been extremely important in shepherding many patients with cystic fibrosis through the transplant process.”

She was recognized at the “Wishes and Dreams Winter Ball” held on Friday, February 1, 2019. The Winter Ball is a gala event created to raise funds to support children and adults with cystic fibrosis.

Please join us as we congratulate Jaclyn on this special recognition!
