The 2024 Dash for Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness will take place on Sunday, April 28th. This exciting annual event for runners and walkers raises critical funds to support organ and tissue donation awareness. New this year, the event will take place at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The new location means:

  • Later start times for the 10K, 5K, and 3K
  • More free parking
  • More space to gather and celebrate

Sponsored by Gift of Life Donor Program, the region's federally designated organ and tissue donation organization, the DASH attracts 10,000+ people from the Tri-State Area, including transplant recipients, donors, friends and families of patients, and staff members from transplant centers and donor hospitals.

Come out and join Team Penn Medicine as we celebrate the life-saving power of donation and honor the donors who gave others a second chance at life. Register to join Team Penn Medicine.

Special note for Penn transplant recipients interested in participating in the DASH–please make sure you are up to date on all of your vaccinations.

  • If you are currently on increased immunosuppression (including for a recent rejection), it is recommended that you attend virtually. Please discuss with your provider if you are uncertain about this.
  • If you are attending in person, it's recommended that you mask while in close contact with other attendees when walking or congregating in groups.
