Gabby grew up in Rahway, NJ. She went to Boston College for her undergraduate studies and graduated with a major in Biology and a minor in Theology. She worked for a year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Washington, DC then stayed to attend medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. While in DC, she participated in activities that served those experiencing homelessness and volunteered at clinics that provided health care to lower income communities. She completed Internal Medicine Residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Inspired by the mentors and patients she had met along her journey, Gabby decided to pursue an Infectious Diseases fellowship and found a match at Penn. She is exploring new experiences and opportunities but currently has a particular interest in HIV prevention, sexually transmitted infections, and population health. In her free time, Gabby enjoys traveling, watching documentaries, going for long walks, and being at home with her husband and dog.
