Jung grew up in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University - New Brunswick for his undergraduate studies where he majored in molecular biology, biochemistry, psychology and minored in chemistry. He attended medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, then left New Jersey to complete his Internal Medicine residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed a chief resident year, where he focused on honing his skills as a clinician educator, then returned to the northeast to start his Infectious Diseases fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania. His interests include HIV medicine, medical education, general infectious diseases, and HIV prevention. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling to new places, taking care of his plants at home, and baking new recipes.
