Corey was born in Madison, WI, and graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, MA, where he studied biology and math and ran track and cross country. He spent the year after college as a Watson Fellow, traveling abroad in a comparative study of emergency services, before returning to the USA to spend two years in AmeriCorps. He then attended the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was also a Chief Resident. Having now grown roots in Philadelphia, he is pursuing his interests in general ID and medical education as a HUP ID fellow. He enjoys running to nearby Bartram’s Garden, watching movies whenever he can, and spending time with his wife and young daughter.
