Jay grew up in the metro-Atlanta area and attended the University of Georgia as an undergraduate student. He completed medical school at the University of Alabama. During his time at UAB, he traveled to Lusaka, Zambia to conduct research centered on hepatitis B linkage to care. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where he was a part of UPMC’s Global Health and Underserved Populations Track. Jay’s interests include HIV/AIDS, clinical education, and global health. In his free time, Jay enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with his wife and tuxedo cat.
