Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Jess studied Public Health at Johns Hopkins University and then worked at the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission before attending Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She completed internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital where she pursued interest in healthcare quality, safety and operations. She moved to Philadelphia with her partner Kyle and cat Meowser. At UPenn, she hopes to explore her interests in antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention. Outside of work she enjoys biking, kayaking and exploring the Philly restaurant scene.
