The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has been a pioneer in patient care, research and medical training in the field since the mid-19th century. We have a long tradition as leaders in surgical and non-surgical treatments for diseases, disorders and injuries of the mouth, teeth, jaws and face. Our department combines the world-renowned resources of the Perelman School of Medicine and the Penn Dental School.
