Meet Our New Chair

Benjamin “Kyle” Potter, MD, FACS, orthopaedic oncologist and an internationally renowned physician-leader in combat casualty care, has been named chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Penn Medicine, effective June 24, 2024.

Spotlight: Free Vascularized Fibular Graft Surgery

L. Scott Levin, MD, FACS, FAOA, walks through the steps of free vascularized fibular graft surgery, an elective microsurgical procedure used to treat patients with avascular necrosis of the hip without femoral head collapse. Dr. Levin is one of the few orthopaedic surgeons in the country performing this complex surgery as an option for hip joint preservation.
