Self-Pay
At the Pennsylvania Hospital Diabetes Education Center, we recognized that not all insurances cover diabetes education classes. In order to provide the best possible care to the community we serve, we offer a Self-Pay option. This Self-Pay option can be applied to any services that are provided at the Pennsylvania Hospital Diabetes Education Center.
To register, contact the Diabetes Education Center at 215-829-5725. Payment can be made at Outpatient.
Registration located on the 1st floor of the main hospital located at 8th & Spruce Streets.
Insurance Coverage
All services provided by the Diabetes Education Center are submitted to the client’s insurance company for payment. Each person who participates in any services offered at the DEC is required to contact his/her insurance company in order to determine if the services are covered. Some insurance companies charge a co-pay which is not collected at the DEC; clients will be billed for this co-pay. It is the responsibility of each person interested in attending diabetes educational sessions at Pennsylvania Hospital to know the fee for service prior to his/her enrollment.
