Virtual Appointments
Penn Orthopaedics is using virtual video appointments for patients through cell phones or computers for the following patient types:
- Current patients who need follow-up or post-surgical care.
- New patients who need initial consultations for new injuries or chronic conditions.

In-Person Visits
For acute injuries, severe pain, or for patients who will require imaging or other testing to assess and diagnose their condition, we are offering in-person visits at some of our locations.

Safety Protocols
We've implemented new safety protocols for in-person appointments and procedures. We are continually evaluating patient care to improve treatment and reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
Surgery
Penn Orthopaedics is still performing necessary surgeries at some Penn Medicine locations for patients who have fractures, infections, or other conditions where surgery is clinically recommended. Please consult with your physician for more information.
