We are dedicated to the application and advancement of the newest techniques for the evaluation of cardiothoracic disease. Working closely with colleagues across the organization, the division delivers seamless care for patients and providers.
We provide a variety of imaging tests for the diagnosis of conditions affecting the heart and lungs. Under the leadership of Harold Litt, MD, the Division includes the Thoracic Imaging Section and the Cardiovascular Imaging Section. We work closely with other departments across the Penn Medicine health system to meet the needs of our patients and referring physicians.
The Cardiovascular Imaging (CVI) section utilizes the latest computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR), and image processing technology to provide non-invasive images of the cardiovascular system.
The Thoracic Imaging section is responsible for a variety of clinical chest-related imaging, including digital chest x-rays, CT scans and chest biopsies.
Penn’s cardiothoracic imaging team works together to offer you the best possible options for your radiology care needs.
