The Volunteer Program at Penn Medicine Cherry Hill offers individuals the opportunity to gain exposure to a medical environment and a wide variety of healthcare professions while also giving back to the community.

Requirements
- Complete the Pre-Application Screening Form
- Complete the Application Packet and an interview
- Application Packet includes: Volunteer Application, Volunteer Agreement, Health Record form, Consent to Record and Release, Volunteer Pledge of Confidentiality, Immunization Record including COVID-19 Immunizations Acknowledgment of HIPAA Minimum Necessary Criteria & Responsibility form, and Letter of Recommendation form
- The University of Pennsylvania Health System requires COVID-19 Immunization for all personnel working or volunteering within a UPHS facility. All NJ Personnel are required to receive a COVID-19 Booster. COVID-19 Immunization can be a single dose COVID-19 vaccine or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine and a COVID-19 Booster Injection.

How to Apply

After Submitting Your Pre-Application Screening Form
You can expect to be contacted by Volunteer Services within the next two weeks. If approved, our department will send you the full application to complete as well as instructions on how to send it back to us. Next, you will be contacted by a Human Resources Assistant to schedule an interview. During the interview, we will learn about your interests, activities, previous volunteer experiences, your preference for an assignment and availability.
If an assignment is agreed upon, you will be invited to Penn Medicine Orientation. The orientation is mandated by state law and Penn Medicine policy, and therefore, the training topics of Infection Control, Patient Confidentiality/HIPAA, and Fire/Safety are required before working at Penn Medicine Cherry Hill
