Pictured left, James Demetriades, CEO of Penn Medicine Princeton Health, and Marguerite Pedley, PhD, senior vice president, Princeton House Behavioral Health, welcomed Matthew Perry to a November 4 event highlighting the actor’s new memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing.
Perry and Elizabeth Vargas, Emmy Award-winning journalist and bestselling author, engaged in a discussion about Perry’s memoir, his decades-long struggle with substance use, and the importance
of seeking help for addiction.
Before introducing Perry and Vargas, Pedley said she hoped such discussions can help build on the gains we have made as a society in combating the stigma surrounding mental illness and addiction.
