Princeton Health staff members must receive a flu shot or document a medical or religious exemption by November 18, 2022.There is still time to get your mandatory flu vaccinations.

All employees, physicians, allied health professionals, volunteers, vendors, contractors, and students working at Princeton Health facilities must receive a flu vaccine or have an approved religious or medical exemption by Friday, November 18, 2022.

Two on-site flu vaccine events are scheduled this month:

  • November 9, from 7 am to 7 pm
    Princeton Medical Center

Flu vaccines are available in the Schreyer Education Center and on The Bridge, the second-floor corridor connecting the hospital and the Education Center. Optional booster doses of the bivalent Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are also available at the Education Center. (More details below.)
  • November 11, from 7:30 am to 5 pm
    Princeton House Behavioral Health–Inpatient

Flu vaccinations will be administered in the Court Room.

Both events are open to all Princeton Health employees, physicians, allied staff, volunteers, vendors, contractors, and students. Employees, including employed physicians and providers, must bring their Princeton Health ID badges. All others must bring their ID badges along with copies of the front and back of their health insurance cards.

Mandatory vaccination helps protect patients, visitors, and staff from exposure to seasonal influenza, which can cause serious health complications for some individuals, including older adults, those who are pregnant, very young children, and people with various medical conditions. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that individuals age 6 months and older receive a vaccination every flu season.

Individuals may receive their mandatory flu shots elsewhere and document them with Occupational Health. Download the necessary form.

New employees seeking exemptions from the vaccine mandate may download their forms at:

All three forms are also available on the Princeton Health intranet at Princeton HR Resources> Forms and Information> My Forms.

Completed forms may be emailed to PMPH-fluform@pennmedicine.upenn.edu OR delivered by mail or in person to:

COVID-19 Boosters

During PMC’s November 9 flu shot event, employees, physicians, allied staff, volunteers, vendors, contractors, and students also may receive optional booster doses of the new bivalent Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which is designed to provide better protection against the Omicron variant.

Those interested in receiving a booster should bring their Princeton Health IDs and their original CDC Vaccination Record Cards.

The CDC recommends the bivalent booster for everyone age 5 or older – including those who are immunocompromised – who received their most recent dose of COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago. Individuals who were recently infected with COVID-19 may consider delaying a booster dose until three months after the onset of symptoms or a positive test.

Learn more at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html.

Individuals may receive flu shots and COVID-19 boosters on the same day. The CDC does not recommend any waiting period between vaccines.
