Staff members at Princeton Medical Center (PMC) had an opportunity to take home fresh, locally grown produce – potatoes, onions, tomatoes, and corn – and sample a grilled corn and feta salad crafted by chef Ralph Carbone during a pop-up farmers’ market held August 31 near the Healthcare Heroes Garden.
Attendees also could drop by a table staffed by Princeton Health Community Wellness to pick up free reusable shopping bags and books from prior healthy living events sponsored by Princeton Health.
Thank you to our partners, the New Jersey Agricultural Society and GeoGreens, for their contributions toward making the farmers’ market a success.
The farmers’ market at PMC was a soft launch for a larger effort that is part of Project Thrive, a new employee support initiative administered by Human Resources. Winter Wiggins, employee program specialist and care navigator with HR, said the plan is to provide similar pop-up markets at other Princeton Health locations on a rotating basis.
