Temperatures outside Princeton Medical Center (PMC) were trending toward frightful, but the firepit offered a delightful gathering place for staff at Penn Medicine Princeton Health’s second annual Winter Wonderland.
Just feet away, inside the Schreyer Education Center, was another popular attraction: A gingerbread replica of the hospital campus that staff members could help decorate.
Staff members across Princeton Health were invited to the celebration, held December 14 and 15. Senior leaders, managers, and employees volunteered for afternoon, evening, and night shifts on both days to staff the indoor gingerbread table and four tents in an outdoor popup village. Three tents offered up treats, including fresh popcorn, gingerbread cookies, mini wraps, pretzels, and pretzel dogs. The fourth tent served as a photo booth and also featured a mailbox for letters to Santa and tags that attendees could inscribe with holiday wishes and then hang on a tree set up in the Healthcare Heroes Garden.
Winter Wonderland was initiated in 2021 as a way for Princeton Health to show gratitude to its staff and providers.
