Last month, leadership from throughout Penn Medicine and Princeton HealthCare System (PHCS) came together to celebrate PHCS – now known as Penn Medicine Princeton Health – officially joining Penn Medicine. CEO Ralph Muller compared the high quality – and nationally recognized – level of patient care in both organizations as well as their Magnet-accredited nursing excellence (all six Penn Medicine hospitals hold this status), calling the new affiliation “a fit meant to be.”

Speaking about Princeton Health’s 99-year history of providing the health care needs of Central Jersey, Kim Pimley, chair of the PHCS Board of Trustees, said, “By affiliating with Penn Medicine we assure that this exceptional community service will continue for generations to come.”

Pimley noted that she knows about Penn Medicine’s “world class care” first hand. “I underwent a heart transplant [at HUP] 722 days ago and I have never felt better. I am delighted we can bring that level of care to the people we serve.”
