Princeton Health Events Express Gratitude to Staff
Penn Medicine Princeton Health staff received a tasty, well-earned respite on November 4, when Princeton, N.J.–based House of Cupcakes brought its competition-winning cupcakes to Princeton Medical Center (PMC) and Princeton House Behavioral Health.
The cupcake truck visits were the first in a series of Thankful for You events hosted by Princeton Health in November for employees, volunteers, and medical staff members.
On November 8, PMC hosted Sip & Paint, a hands-on, one-hour lesson in watercolor landscape painting presented by the Arts Council of Princeton. The three Sip & Paint sessions were highlighted by sparkling cider and other light refreshments.
Between November 18 and 21, employees were able to take a break and partake in Silent Disco, a personal dance party powered by wireless headphones.
During Thanksgiving week, Princeton Health employees received tags from TGI Friday’s offering a 10-percent discount for dine-in service. The month-long effort wrapped up with a post-Thanksgiving Wellness & Fitness Week, featuring chair massages, guided meditation, and gentle yoga.
The events were funded in part by the Healthcare Heroes Fund, which was established last year by the PMC Foundation to collect donations from community members who wanted to provide meals or other support to healthcare workers during the pandemic.
