With daylight disappearing faster and the temperature dropping lower, the holiday season is not too far behind. As we gear up for celebrations and festivities, placing additional emphasis on our well-being is a sound plan for staying healthy.
The Wellfocused team is supporting employees with Health Through the Holidays, a program that takes a “whole person” approach to thriving during the holiday season. Sessions will focus on holiday nutrition and fitness, financial planning, gratitude practices, weekly mindfulness, and family.
“We want our employees to think about giving the gift of health to themselves this holiday season,” said Emily McPeak, senior work life consultant for UPHS. “The Health Through the Holidays series was designed so that the sessions will resonate with everyone.”
Health Through the Holidays sessions will be offered at different times and on different days of the week, ensuring employees have ample time to participate. Each session will also be recorded and added to Wellfocused OnDemand.
“No one’s well-being should take a back seat during the holiday season,” McPeak said. “The Wellfocused Team is committed to giving employees the support they need to maintain their self-care and health.”
The Health Through the Holidays program is available to all Penn Medicine employees. Be sure to check out the monthly calendar of events for more information.
