Penn Center for Community Health Workers Chief Operating Officer Olenga Anabui hands the Community Hero of the Year Award to Arnett Woodall.
The Penn Center for Community Health Workers recently presented its Community Hero of the Year Award to Arnett Woodall. The founder of A&W Community Solutions and West Phillie Produce, Woodall aims to grown a healthy community by providing affordable, fresh produce as well as jobs for young people; neighborhood beautification efforts; and economic development opportunities. He was honored at a special awards dinner which recognized seven other community heroes. The recognition honored members of the community who have the natural gift of caring for those around them, much like those who come to work as Penn Medicine community health workers.
