Spring is a time of renewed chances at life – and that’s not limited to the recovery of the trees and flowers after the long slog of winter! PAH encourages you to “spring” into action and save as many as three lives with only a pint of blood and less than an hour of your time.
Every two seconds, someone in the United States requires donated blood – 40 percent of which is supplied by the American Red Cross. Whether someone has suffered a traumatic injury, has experienced a disaster, or is struggling with an illness that impacts their blood counts, they often rely on the blood cells, platelets, and plasma of generous donors.
On Friday, May 11, PAH will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive in the Pine Building’s McClelland Conference Room between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Appointments are preferred, and please be sure to have your ID. To make your appointment, visit RedCrossBlood.org, and enter the sponsor code “PA Hospital” in the “Find a Blood Drive” search bar. You can also save up to 15 minutes by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass.
