Meet Ms. Caruso

I am an Advanced Practice Provider at Penn Medicine with a special practice interest in urologic oncology; bladder, renal and prostate cancers. I received my baccalaureate degree from Villanova University, master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and doctor of nursing practice degree from Vanderbilt University. In 2020, I was inducted as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, reserved for those who have made significant contributions towards the global advancement of the NP profession.

My clinical and research interests include work on a shared decision-making model for small renal masses, bladder cancer therapies and quality improvement initiatives. I have authored multiple publications on these topics and others, and represent an advanced practice voice for Urology Times. My professional interests include health policy and professional advocacy and I am recognized for pivotal contributions for advancing Pennsylvania’s efforts towards “Full Practice Authority,” removal of barriers to NP practice, and work to improve access to quality healthcare. In 2020, I was honored to receive the University of Pennsylvania Health System Barbara A. Todd Advanced Practice Leadership Award which acknowledges excellence in leadership, clinical practice, education, and research, and in 2024, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners Advocate State Practice Award for Excellence.

I am dedicated to delivering to you the best in urologic care while optimizing your patient experience.
