Penn Home Infusion Therapy, certified by the Joint Commission, provides patients with necessary treatment and intravenous medication in the comfort of their own home, which can lead to more flexibility and independence in their daily routines. Our infusion services are available in Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and northern Delaware, and our multidisciplinary team approach allows us to provide continuity of care from hospital to home.
Infusion Specialists
Penn Home Infusion Therapy has a multidisciplinary team. Our team of clinical pharmacists are trained in home infusion and are available 24 hours a day. Our nurses undergo extensive training and customized orientation. Each member of the care team is well equipped to assess, educate and care for infusion patients.
In addition to providing education and care, we closely monitor the patient's clinical status, dosage frequency, and treatment efficacy. The expertise and extensive experience of the care team allows them to identify, communicate, and respond to any changes in the patient's status related to the applied therapy.
We are dedicated to compassionate care, and clinical and educational excellence. In order to promote these ideals, we maintain an active quality improvement program to continue our tradition of exceptional care and patient satisfaction.
Integrated Services
Penn Home Infusion Therapy's disease-specific clinical care teams are best in practice, allowing for expertise across oncology, nutrition, infectious disease, cardiology and pain management. This allows for the most specific and appropriate care possible. Some available therapies include:
- Hemophilia (factor therapy)
- Parenteral and enteral nutrition
- Intravenous gamma globulin (IVIG)
- Colony stimulating factors
- Inotropic therapy
- Chemotherapy
- Pain management

Learn more about Home Infusion Therapy Services
As part of Penn Medicine At Home, Penn Home Infusion Therapy is able to coordinate with Penn Medicine Home Health and Penn Medicine Hospice to offer a more comprehensive, efficient, and tailored treatment program for patients in the home, even those with multiple needs.
With additional disciplines at our disposal, including rehabilitative therapies, home health aides, social services support and palliative care, we are able to offer greater scheduling flexibility and a wider variety of care options.
Patient Education
Educating patients and caregivers in proper care techniques is our primary goal. To this end, each patient and caregiver receive individualized education and an instruction manual tailored to their condition and needs. This personalized care plan provides an easy-to-understand resource for the patient, allowing the patient to regain independence as quickly and comfortably as possible.
Timeliness
We can expedite dependable delivery of medication and medical supplies. We operate our own infusion therapy pharmacy (with emergency services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) including a supply warehouse and delivery staff. Medications and supplies can be delivered to patients in time for their first dose required in the home.
Ease and Convenience
Our centralized intake and access system makes referring a patient easy and convenient. A single call to 866-888-8598 will put a patient's health care provider in touch with an RN trained in all Penn Medicine At Home programs, and who will be able to triage a patient for all of our services.
Our managed care representatives will take care of all reimbursement issues, from obtaining up-front authorizations to contacting the patient to discuss coverage and any co-pay issues prior to start of care.
