Princeton Medicine Physicians, the primary and specialty care provider network of Penn Medicine Princeton Health, has opened Penn Princeton Urology Plainsboro in the Medical Arts Pavilion in Plainsboro. The practice features three urologists from the Princeton Medical Center, Drs. Michael W. Bickell, Jamison S. Jaffe, and Sean T. McGinley.

Meet the Faculty

A graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Bickell completed his residency in general surgery and urologic surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia PA. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Rafael Carrion, a leading expert in the field of andrology and Men's Health, at the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine.

Dr. Bickell specializes in the comprehensive treatment of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's disease, male and female sexual dysfunction, testosterone replacement therapy, microscopic surgery for male factor infertility and complex genitourinary pain conditions such as refractory orchialgia. He has a strong focus in prostate cancer survivorship offering specialized treatment options for men experiencing stress urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction and is an expert in managing hypogonadism in prostate cancer survivors.

Section Head of Urology at Penn Medicine Princeton Heath, Dr. Jaffe is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency in general surgery and urologic surgery at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Subsequently, Dr. Jaffe completed fellowship training in minimally invasive advanced laparoscopic and robotic urologic surgery at L'Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, France, a pioneering center for laparoscopic prostatectomy.

Dr. Jaffe's focus of expertise is in the diagnosis, evaluation and minimally invasive and robotic treatments of urologic cancers including prostate, bladder, kidney, ureter, adrenal, and testicle cancers. He is among the most experienced urologists in the region using robotic technology to perform complex surgical procedures to help patients preserve their quality of life and live longer with less long term side effects from treatment.

A graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, Dr. McGinley completed a residency in general surgery and genitourinary surgery at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo, NY.

Dr. McGinley has a particular interest and proficiency in complex kidney stone disease and natural orifice surgery in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. He offers a wide range of minimally invasive approaches for his patients, both in the office and operating room, and he endeavors to maintain compassion while prioritizing education to empower his patients in their own care as well. He also emphasizes the importance of lifestyle changes and medical management to avoid unnecessary surgeries whenever possible.
