• Welcome to the Penn Community
  • FEDS (Faculty Expertise Database) is Penn's on-line repository for your curriculum vitae. It is the only source that Faculty Affairs will use to review and distribute your CV in your dossier for reappointment and promotion. Therefore, it is essential that you keep this updated. We suggest creating a bookmark for the site for easy access, and updating it regularly. You may directly download your publications from PubMed (instructions are available within FEDS), rather than typing them in by hand.

  • What is the Academic Planning Tool?
The Academic Planning Tool is a summary survey that includes a description of your clinical responsibilities, evaluations of your teaching and summaries of patient questionnaires, and an overview of your academic accomplishments for the current academic year. It is an opportunity to review your job description and performance, to consider goals for the upcoming academic year, and to spur discussion with your chief regarding your needs for your continued career development. The APT should be completed annually and reviewed during an in-person meeting with your Division Chief or his/her designee.
