Ben Abramoff MD, MS
Ben Abramoff MD, MS joins us as an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation on the Academic Clinician track. He is a graduate of Cornell University (Life Science Communication) in Ithaca, NY, and the Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, OH, where he also participated in concurrent graduate level training at their School of Health and Rehabilitation Services resulting in a master’s degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. He participated in physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and then proceeded to subspecialty training in spinal cord injury medicine at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab affiliated within the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. He is the lead physiatrist for our spinal cord injury services at the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine at the Penn Rittenhouse campus.
Ilya Igolnikov, MD, MS
Ilya Igolnikov, MD, MS joins us as an Instructor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado (Biochemistry/Integrative Physiology) in Boulder, CO, and then participated in graduate level training in Chemistry at the University of Colorado in Denver. He trained medically at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine of the Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel, and participated in physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. This was followed by subspecialty training in Spine and Sports Musculoskeletal Medicine in Penn PM&R. He provides depth to our outpatient spine and sports musculoskeletal medicine program, including performing interventional spinal procedures, based at Penn Medicine at Rittenhouse.
Jason Pan, MD
Jason Pan, MD joins us as an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation on the Academic Clinician track. He is a graduate of Harvard College (Molecular and Cellular Biology) of Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, and he is trained medically at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. He participated in residency training in Penn PM&R, and participated in subspecialty training in sports medicine at the Geisinger Health System in Danville, PA. He adds depth to our sports musculoskeletal program with one of his major practice sites being Penn Medicine at Cherry Hill. Moreover, he will be instrumental in the future development of Penn PM&R’s electronic social media.
Parisa Sedaghat, MD
Parisa Sedaghat, MD joins us as an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation on the Academic Clinician track. She is trained medically at the Jahrom University of Medical Sciences in Fars Province, Jahrom, Iran. She participated in physical medicine and residency training at the Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Fars Province, Shiraz, Iran, and at the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, where she also participated in subspecialty training in pain medicine/interventional pain management based in their Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She extends our spine and sports musculoskeletal programs including performing interventional spinal procedures at the Penn Spine Center based at the Pennsylvania Hospital.
