Abby Rose Broomfield, PharmD (she, her)

Pharmacy School: Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Pharamacy – Bradenton Campus, Class of 2024

Dr. Abby Rose Broomfield is a graduate of LECOM in Bradenton, FL, Class of 2024. She is originally from Rochester, NY and received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Rochester in 2020. Her professional interests include toxicology, emergency medicine, and trauma as she practiced in EMS throughout college. Outside of pharmacy, Abby enjoys everything sports, especially football and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as spending time with her two cats. She is looking forward to exploring the city of Philly and winning bar trivia with her co-residents!

Pharmacy School: Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024

Dr. Nicholas DiStefano is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024. He is originally from Ellicott City, MD. Nick's professional interests include oncology, critical care, and emergency medicine. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys running, playing basketball, and hanging out with friends. A fun fact about Nick is he has an Rx tattoo!

Pharmacy School: Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024

Dr. Emily George is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024. She is originally from Medina, Ohio. Her current professional interests include cardiology and critical care. Outside of pharmacy, Emily enjoys finding new restaurants and coffee shops, and outdoor activities such as paddleboarding or kayaking, and hiking. She has never lived this close to the ocean before and is looking forward to spending time at the shore when not at work!

Pharmacy School: Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, Class of 2024

Dr. LeAnn Harward is a graduate from Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, Class of 2024. She is originally from North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her bachelor's degree in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry in 2020. Her current clinical interests include critical care/emergency medicine, internal medicine, anticoagulation, and academia. Outside of pharmacy, LeAnn enjoys going on long walks with her puppy and fiancé, trying new coffee shops, and traveling. One of LeAnn’s favorite travel memories is learning how to make homemade pasta in the Italian countryside!

Pharmacy School: University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024

Dr. Ian Montelius is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024. He is originally from Jim Thorpe, PA. He has a wide array of clinical interests, but particularly is interested in psychiatry and infectious diseases. Throughout the transition from student to pharmacist, he has developed a strong passion for education in both clinical and didactic settings. He enjoys staying active and traveling, but also likes to spend time with friends by watching sports or playing trivia. A fun fact about Ian is that he was a whitewater rafting river guide on the Lehigh River for 6 years!

Dr. Anna Piotrowicz is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Pharmacy in Seattle, WA. She is originally from Kirkland, WA, and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology-Physiology from the University of Washington. Her current clinical interests include critical care, substance use disorder, pain management, and medication safety. Outside of pharmacy, Anna enjoys watching crime documentaries, doing puzzles (including all of the New York Times games), discovering new happy hour spots, and browsing for cats to adopt.

Pharmacy School: University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Class of 2024

Dr. Emmanuel Rodriguez is a graduate from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Class of 2024. He also completed his Master's in Business Administration from the University of North Texas in 2017. Originally from Odessa, TX, Emmanuel's professional interests include infectious diseases and emergency medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys playing video games, attending local concerts, and spending time with his dog, Falco. This is his first time residing outside the state of Texas, and he is looking forward to the new opportunities that the northeast has to offer.

Her professional interests include medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, and academia. Outside of residency, Ruchi enjoys cooking, dancing, and hunting for the best matcha latte in Philadelphia.

Dr. Gillian Steiger is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2024. She is originally from Long Island, New York. Her professional clinical interests primarily include critical care and internal medicine. She also has interests in solid organ transplant and oncology. She is excited to further develop her skills and become a well-rounded, independent pharmacist through the completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at HUP. Outside of pharmacy, Gillian enjoys working out, being outdoors, and spending time with her two cats Salem and Pumpkin.

Dr. Mohammad Alashqar is a graduate of Jordan University of Science and Technology School of Pharmacy, Class of 2008 and he completed his PGY1 pharmacy residency training at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, PA. He is originally from Irbid, Jordan. His specific areas of interest include blood disorder disease, benign hematology, anticoagulation and thrombosis, and the related cardiovascular disease. Outside of residency, Mohammad enjoys exploring other cultures and being exposed to diverse communities. He loves traveling, spending time with his family, cooking, and he is addicted to movies.

Pharmacy School: Northeastern University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2023

Dr. Colette Biro is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her PGY1 residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Prior to becoming a pharmacist, she worked as a paramedic in the Greater Boston Area. Her professional interests within solid organ transplant include advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and infectious diseases. Outside of residency, Colette can be found in the outdoors - hiking, running, biking, and skiing.

Dr. Victoria Chen is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. She is originally from Paoli, Pennsylvania. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at HUP. Her professional interests include oncology and emergency medicine. Outside of pharmacy, Victoria enjoys practicing figure skating and doing ceramics, both of which she finds therapeutic. She also likes to travel, both with friends and by herself. If money were no object, you will find her retired at Interlaken, a small town in Switzerland by the water..

PGY1 Pharmacy Residency: Thomas Jefferson University Hospital

Pharmacy School: Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023

Dr. Andreea Glavce is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. She is originally from Lancaster, PA, and she completed her PGY1 residency across the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Her current practice interests include hematologic malignancies and palliative care in the oncology population. Outside of residency, Andreea spends her time running on the River Trail, going to dance classes, trying new restaurants, and traveling whenever possible. Her favorite travel destinations include Savannah, GA, Portugal, and Switzerland!

Dr. Avery Jacobs is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. He is originally from Gilbertsville, PA. His professional interests include gram-negative bacterial resistance, outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy, and infections in immunocompromised patients. Outside of residency, he enjoys working out, golfing, watching sports, and enjoying Philadelphia's food scene. A fun fact about Avery is that he was a DJ in college, and one of his remixes posted online has over 100,000 plays!

Dr. Ryan Kasper is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. He is originally from Mount Laurel, NJ. His professional area of interest is currently in oncology, but he is excited to learn about the various areas of clinical pharmacy during residency. Outside of the pharmacy, Ryan enjoys staying active by running, going to the gym, and swimming. However, he also loves winding down with a movie night, tanning on the roof, or binge watching the latest Netflix show. If he is not at work or home, you can catch Ryan at the beach or trying out local coffee shops!

Her professional interests include critical care, neurology, and cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, Sarah enjoys finding new restaurants and coffee shops, going to concerts, watching college football, and skiing. Some fun facts about Sarah are that she has lived in 5 different states, hates chocolate, and is planning on adopting a puppy as soon as she is done with residency!

Her professional interests include pain management, addiction medicine, and behavioral health. Outside of pharmacy, Antoinette enjoys going to concerts, hiking, listening to music (her playlists have quite the variety), and trying new restaurants. She also enjoys volunteering at her ambulance corps in her hometown of Bergenfield, NJ.

Her professional interests include transplant infectious diseases, antimicrobial pharmacokinetics, bacterial mechanisms of resistance, and HIV management. Outside of pharmacy, Olivia enjoys exploring the city, especially all of the fun restaurants and coffee shops, going to concerts, and spending time with her black lab puppy, Bruce!
