Chad Beisel headshot

Chad Beisel, PharmD

Pharmacy School: University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2023

Dr. Chad Beisel is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. He is originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania. His professional clinical interests primarily include infectious disease and critical care. He has minor interests in cardiology, solid organ transplant, emergency medicine, and internal medicine. He is excited to develop into a well-rounded, independent pharmacist through the completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at HUP. Outside of pharmacy, Chad enjoys outdoor activities such as relaxing at the beach, paddleboarding or kayaking, and hiking. He also enjoys relaxing at home with his two cats and enjoying a board/card game, movie, or series.

Daniel Cartagena-Sergenian, PharmD

Pharmacy School: Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University, Class of 2023

Dr. Daniel Cartagena is a graduate of Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University, Class of 2023. Originally from Somerset, New Jersey, he completed the Rutgers 6-year PharmD program while working as a technician in an independent pharmacy in Trenton. Professionally, Daniel is passionate about the dynamism of emergency medicine, innovation in oncology, and lifelong learning in academia. Outside of the pharmacy realm, Daniel resides in Manayunk, and frequently explores the Northeast through hiking and camping adventures. He enjoys history, books like the Lord of the Rings, games like Dungeons & Dragons, and playing Spikeball at Asbury Park. While he does not classify himself as an extrovert, he loves to host his friends for boardgame nights.

Victoria Y. Chen, PharmD

Pharmacy School: Saint Joseph's University, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023

Dr. Victoria Chen is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. She originally was from Paoli, Pennsylvania. Her professional interests include oncology and emergency medicine. Outside of pharmacy, Victoria enjoys practicing figure skating and doing ceramics, both of which she finds therapeutic. She also likes to travel, both with friends and by herself. If money were no object, you will find her retired at Interlaken, a small town in Switzerland by the water.

Dr. Christy Ilia is a graduate of the Northeastern University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. She grew up in the Boston area. Her current professional interests include oncology and solid organ transplant. Outside of pharmacy, Christy enjoys reading, trying new coffee shops, and running, and she hopes to one day run a 5k! One of her bucket list items is to take a vacation to Italy.

Dr. Deanna Jacobs is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. She is originally from Sheboygan, Wisconsin and received a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her professional interests include critical care, solid organ transplant, and pharmacogenomics. Outside of pharmacy, Deanna enjoys running, reading, coloring while listening to podcasts, and spending time with her cat, Crinkles.

Dr. Ryan Kasper is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. He is originally from Mount Laurel, NJ. His professional area of interest is currently in oncology, but he is excited to learn about the various areas of clinical pharmacy during residency. Outside of the pharmacy, Ryan enjoys staying active by running, going to the gym, and swimming. However, he also loves winding down with a movie night, tanning on the roof, or binge watching the latest Netflix show. If he is not at work or home, you can catch Ryan at the beach or trying out local coffee shops!

Dr. Jessica Lungen is a graduate of the Jefferson College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. She is originally from Bear, Delaware and received her bachelors in biological sciences with a concentration in pharmaceutical science from the University of Delaware in 2020. Her current interests include ambulatory care, women’s health, and oncology. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys trying new restaurants, crocheting blankets, and spending time with her fiancé and puppy.

Dr. Blake Mancuso is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. He grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His current professional interests include pharmacy operations, ambulatory care, and medication use and safety. Outside of work, Blake enjoys playing video games, listening to music, and visiting his friends around the country. Some fun facts about Blake are that he enjoys cooking, swimming, and loves themed parties.

Dr. Sarah Marcus is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. She is originally from State College, Pennsylvania and received her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from The Pennsylvania State University in 2019. Her professional interests include critical care, neurology, and cardiology. Outside of pharmacy, Sarah enjoys finding new restaurants and coffee shops, going to concerts, watching college football, and skiing. Some fun facts about Sarah are that she has lived in 5 different states, hates chocolate, and is planning on adopting a puppy as soon as she is done with residency!

Dr. Christopher Yang is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2023. He is originally from Shanghai, China and San Jose, California. He received his Master of Sciences in Palliative Care from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Pharmacy. His professional interests include hospice and palliative, pediatric H&PC, acute and pain management. Outside of pharmacy Chris enjoys listening to cooking, musicals and exploring new restaurants. This is his first time in Philadelphia, and is looking forward to spending time exploring the city with his co-residents!

She is originally from Bridgewater, MA, and completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at South County Health, in Wakefield RI. Her current practice interests include hematologic malignancies, bone marrow transplant, and infectious disease. Outside of pharmacy, Alexis enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts

Pharmacy School: Jefferson College of Pharmacy (Thomas Jefferson University), Class of 2022

Dr. Jessica Clancy is a graduate of Jefferson College of Pharmacy. She grew up about two hours outside of Philly in York, Pennsylvania. Her current professional interests include medication safety, ambulatory care, and regulatory pharmacy practice. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys kayaking, listening to music, and spending time with her friends and family. Some fun facts about Jessica are that she loves escape rooms, candle making, and learning about interior design. One of her bucket list items is to see the Northern Lights in Iceland one day!

Drew Dickinson

Drew Dickinson, PharmD, MPH

PGY1 Pharmacy Residency: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

Pharmacy School: University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy, Class of 2022

Dr. Drew Dickinson is a graduate of the University of California San Francisco School of Pharmacy, Class of 2022. He grew up in Sacramento, California and received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and cell biology from the University of California San Diego. He holds a Master of Public Health from Yale University. His interests include epidemiology and the intersections of antimicrobial use with palliative care and substance use. Drew enjoys playing bar trivia and watching The Great British Baking Show to unwind. Some fun facts are that he is an identical twin, was a competitive fencer for 15 years, and Say So by Doja Cat is his most played song of all time on Spotify.

Her professional interests include substance use disorder, chronic pain management, and hospice care. Outside of pharmacy, Miranda enjoys going to concerts, the shore and visiting with friends/ family. She also loves spending time with her cat Gus!

Dr. Kristyn Krajewski is a graduate of University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Pharmacy, Class of 2022, and subsequently completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency training at UIC. Dr. Krajewski is originally from Chicago but is grateful for this opportunity to step outside of her comfort zone and train at a leading health care system for oncology. Outside of pharmacy, Kristyn admittedly likes to watch all things reality TV and spend time with her Goldendoodle, Rona.

Pharmacy School: Jefferson College of Pharmacy (Thomas Jefferson University), Class of 2022

Dr. Serena Mang is a graduate of the Jefferson College of Pharmacy, Class of 2022. She is from Perkasie, PA and received her bachelor's degree in chemistry from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Serena completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) and her current clinical interests include trauma-induced coagulopathies, toxicology, and emergency preparedness. Dr. Mang plans to practice as a board-certified clinical specialist upon completion of her PGY2 emergency medicine residency. Outside of residency, Serena enjoys playing board games, magic the gathering, and is always down to go to a concert; she loves all things coffee, especially tiramisu, and has a black cat named Erwin.

Alicia Payne

Alicia Nordberg-Payne, PharmD

Pharmacy School: Temple University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2022

Dr. Alicia Nordberg-Payne is a graduate of the Temple University School of Pharmacy, Class of 2022. She is originally from Blackwood, New Jersey and received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Rowan University in 2016. Her professional interests include chronic disease state management, transitions of care, patient education, and health equity in underserved communities. Outside of pharmacy, Alicia enjoys staying active at Burn Bootcamp. Her other hobbies include going to the Jersey shore with her family, shopping for home decor, and spending time with her husband and Labrador retriever, Cooper.

Pharmacy School: University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy, Class of 2022

Dr. Jessica Phung is a graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago College of Pharmacy, Class of 2022. She is originally from Plainfield, IL. Her professional interests within critical care include sepsis, anesthesia, renal replacement therapy, and neurological emergencies. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys dancing, bullet journaling, playing video games, going to farmers markets, and trying new restaurants and cafes. Some fun facts about Jess are that she went to a boarding school for high school, has been on two dance teams and opened for artists like H.E.R and the Kinjaz, and has been to 26 countries (and counting!).

Thomas Rust

Thomas Rust, PharmD

PGY1 Pharmacy Residency: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

Pharmacy School: University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2022

Dr. Thomas Rust is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, Class of 2022 and completed his PGY1 pharmacy residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is originally from Roxbury, NJ. His specific areas of interest include gram-negative bacterial mechanisms of resistance, antimicrobial pharmacokinetics, and microbiology. Outside of residency, Tommy enjoys playing board games and video games, golfing, and spending time with his coresidents. He is still working on getting over his addiction to McDonald’s and other fast-food establishments, a hurdle that may be too high to overcome.

Ciara Walshe

Dr. Ciara Walshe is a graduate of the Jefferson College of Pharmacy, Class of 2022. She is originally from Hellertown, Pennsylvania and received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Fordham University in 2018. Her professional interests include solid organ transplantation, HIV and HCV medicine, and ambulatory care. Outside of pharmacy, Ciara enjoys trying out new restaurants around the city and Philly suburbs, cooking/hosting dinner parties, hiking or spending time being active outdoors, and going to workout classes. Ciara is known for advocating for her love of Philly and providing recommendations of things to do in Philly to people from outside of the area
