Nursing and Advanced Practice Providers Information

HUP APP teamPenn Medicine is committed to helping APPs achieve their personal and professional goals. Whether this is growing in their clinical practice or aspiring to a leadership role, there are a wealth of resources and pathways available for APPs at any point in their career.

From the moment an APP joins our team, they participate in a professional orientation customized to their specialty. APPs at the start of their career will then participate in the Transition to Practice Program. Simulation training is available to APPs who want to learn new or further develop clinical skills. More experienced APPs may participate in Penn Medicine’s robust Professional Advancement and Clinical Excellence Program (PAaCE). This provides APPs with a deliberate roadmap to advancement and helps prepare them for future activities including research, teaching, special projects, or other career development opportunities. Other resources, such as the Penn Medicine Academy, support individuals in their pursuit of leadership roles.
