Penn's Nocturnal In-Center Dialysis Program provides comprehensive dialysis care in-center, overnight, at one of our state-of-the-art facilities. This dialysis option is preferable for patients who would like their days free and are seeking in-center care. Our highly skilled staff provides one-on-one attention to every patient, ensuring that their experience is as comfortable as possible.
What To Expect
Patients who choose nocturnal in-center dialysis:
- Receive dialysis treatment three days a week, for eight hours overnight.
- Are overseen by specially trained, compassionate caregivers.
- Prefer to receive treatment at one of our convenient, leading-edge facilities.
- Are seen once a week by a physician or nurse practitioner for evaluation and follow-up care.
- Receive one-on-one personalized care.
- Like the convenience of having their days free.
- Patients feel better, because treatment is done for longer periods of time overnight, which is gentler on the body. As a result, blood pressure and phosphorous levels are better controlled.
- Are on less medications than patients on in-center hemodialysis.
