No matter what type of urology concern you have, our team is ready to help. Our General Urology Program treats all conditions that affect the bladder, kidneys and male genitals. You can feel confident in your care with our experienced, compassionate team on your side.
Types of Urologic Diseases and Conditions We Treat
In our General Urology Program, we care for all types of urology problems and needs, including:
- Circumcision: Our surgeons perform circumcisions (removal of the foreskin of the penis) on adults of all ages. They have decades of experience in performing this procedure, ensuring you receive the best possible result.
- Elevated PSA: An elevated (high) prostate-specific antigen (PSA) doesn't always mean prostate cancer. Using our years of experience in prostate conditions, we find the underlying cause of high PSA. Then, our experts guide you through treatment when needed.
- Enlarged prostate: If you have benign (noncancerous) prostate enlargement, our urologists can provide a clear diagnosis and expert care. We also offer a comprehensive Benign Prostate Enlargement Program that includes in-office solutions like Urolift® and GreenLight Laser Therapy.
- Erectile dysfunction (ED): We specialize in treating erectile dysfunction with effective medications. We also provide seamless care with other ED services, such as prosthetic urology.
- Hematuria (blood in urine): Hematuria can be caused by many different factors. Our doctors have the experience and skill to pinpoint the cause and guide you through the right treatment.
- Kidney stones: Kidney stones are deposits of minerals in the kidneys that can cause pain and urinary problems. Our doctors provide an accurate and fast diagnosis and comprehensive care. We explain all your options so you can choose the treatment option that works for you. Learn more about our Kidney and Bladder Stone Program.
- Urinary tract infection (UTI): UTIs can cause pain and trouble urinating, which can interfere with daily living. Our urology expertise enables us to determine the root cause, so you get effective UTI treatment. Learn more about urinary tract infections.
- Vasectomy: Penn offers a no-scalpel vasectomy that gets you back to your life sooner. No-scalpel vasectomy uses small punctures rather than incisions.
