Bert's Story

Epileptic seizures were controlling Bert's life to the point where he struggled to remember what he did or where he was the previous day. With a list of goals eager to achieve, Bert needed help.

Working with his neurologist, John R. Pollard, MD, it was determined that surgery may be the best option. Bert met with neurosurgeon Timothy H. Lucas, II, MD and knew he was in good hands. Once the locations of the seizures in his brain were determined, Bert underwent surgery. Bert is now seizure-free and excited for the future – and to share his story.
