    In a candid, self-affirming essay for the 2018 “Top Doctors” issue of Philadelphia magazine, PAH’s own Adriana Castro-Convers, PhD, a clinical psychologist at Hall-Mercer Community Behavioral Health Center, describes her “incredible journey” towards genuine self-acceptance and self-expression as she came to terms with her transgender identity.

To provide different levels and types of support to patients and loved ones alike, the Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital has an ever-revolving calendar of complementary therapies, workshops, events, and groups aimed at offering education and encouragement and building a safe, hopeful community.

    Seizing the Moment and Forging Into the Electronic Future

    A year and a half has passed since PAH rolled out PennChart, advancing our traditional documentation system and paving the way for implementation across the health system. Integral to the process was Joel Betesh, MD, who was invited to highlight Penn’s print-to-electronic migration at the 2018 AMIA Clinical Informatics Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.
