If you’d like to enhance your breast size or shape naturally, without artificial implants, consider fat grafting or fat transfer. Your surgeon relocates fat cells from one part of your body and implants them into the breasts to create a natural look and feel.
The Penn Experience
Natural breast augmentation with fat transfer
Your surgeon will determine if you qualify for natural breast augmentation during your pre-surgery consultation. Because the procedure involves transferring fat, you need enough fat present to make the procedure an option.
Only about 50 percent of the fat transferred will survive after the procedure. Because of that, your surgeon will transfer a larger volume of fat than initially needed.
You’ll receive instructions on how to prepare for your surgery, including any foods, drinks and medications to avoid. Your surgeon also may order a mammogram for you, especially if you have a family history of breast cancer.
Breast augmentation cost
Breast augmentation cost varies based on your specific treatment goals and other services you may also undergo. Your surgeon will discuss the cost of your breast augmentation with you during your consultation.
Natural breast augmentation risks
While fat grafting is typically safe, surgery in general comes with set complications, including infection and scarring. Reduce those risks by carefully following your surgeon’s pre- and post-surgery instructions. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions about your recovery process, and contact our team with your concerns.
