Penn PM&R resident life is enhanced by camaraderie outside the hospital and clinics. Some of the popular and frequent residency outings include bowling, the department holiday party, intramural softball, karaoke, paintball, potlucks, and rock climbing.
Among our residents' favorite things to do is going out to eat particularly for Sunday brunch, catching a show at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, a trip to the Philadelphia Art Museum, going to a Phillies/Flyers/Eagles game, or simply a bike ride along the Schuylkill River.
Housing, Affordability, and Where to Live
Philadelphia is a city of neighborhoods. Most of our residents live in the Center City district (Fitler Square, Rittenhouse, Old City, and Graduate Hospital neighborhoods), as well as University City.
Transportation & Travel
Philadelphia is ideally located between Boston, New York, and Washington DC, and is an easy train/bus/car ride to these and other cities. Transportation within Philadelphia is also easy, and many of our residents use public transportation for their daily commutes.
