The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Antiracism (IDEA) committee is an outgrowth and evolution of the Committee for Culture, Diversity and Inclusion. The Committee is led by Ms. Kiya Wesley and Dr. Veena Graff and includes clinical and administrative staff, CRNAs, residents and fellows, and faculty members.

Kiya Wesley Anesthesiology Ms. Kiya Wesley is an experienced Healthcare Administrator with years of experience gained while working in an academic setting. She has been with the University of Pennsylvania for 17 years and currently serves as the Scheduling Coordinator for the DACC. She currently works alongside Dr. Eric Greenblatt, Director of Physician Scheduling and is accountable for building and managing the department’s scheduling system for over 120 faculty members.

Veena Graff, MDVeena Graff, MD is an assistant professor of anesthesiology & critical care and a senior fellow in the Penn Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics. She has been in our department since 2016, after completing anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Dr. Graff's clinical and research expertise includes multimodal anesthesia, opioid sparing techniques, acute & chronic pain, regional anesthesia, and the benefits of music in the perioperative setting. She is currently the co-chair of the inpatient sector for the UPHS-wide opioid task force.
