Thank you for your interest in the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at the University of Pennsylvania! We offer a traditional one-year clinical training program in hospice and palliative medicine dedicated to training academic hospice and palliative medicine physicians and future leaders in our field.
Fellows receive clinical training at various sites throughout the University of Pennsylvania Health System and the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, working within robust inter-disciplinary teams and alongside expert faculty educators. Our program prides itself on our ability to provide both depth and breadth of experiences, enabling our graduates to provide exceptional care to patients with serious illness and their families.
Beyond our strong core curriculum, we work with each fellow to craft an educational experience aligned with their individual career goals. Through tailored elective experiences, dedicated mentorship, and a robust didactic educational program, we seek to connect fellows with the wealth of resources and expertise available at Penn. We are also committed to providing holistic support and have developed a novel longitudinal wellness and self-care curriculum.
We invite you to explore our website and encourage you to contact us with any questions that you may have about our program or about life in Philadelphia. Applications are accepted through ERAS. We welcome applicants who have trained in a variety of medical and surgical specialties.
Best wishes on your journey!
