Hobbies and Interests: Travelling, discovering different cultures, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. During my Ph.D. I realized that I love to listen and speak with older adults.

Professional/Research Interests: I have two primary areas of research. At Penn, my research focuses on the clinical applications of metabolic and physiological MR imaging techniques in diagnosis and assessing treatment response to established and novel therapies (immunotherapy and tumor-treating fields) in patients with malignant gliomas.

My Ph.D. thesis was dedicated to investigating multiparametric MRI as a potential biomarker for superagers (older adults ≥ 80 years old with youthful memory performance) to understand the biological mechanisms related to the complex phenomenon of aging with the preservation of memory and cognition.

Interesting Fact: I am a Brazilian and Italian citizen who lived in London, UK, for my Ph.D. and moved to Philadelphia, USA, two years ago.
