Sara is the Director of Medical Education, a role which she has held for the past four years. In this role, Sara oversees medical education across the continuum for the Department of Medicine. Her main responsibilities include short and long term strategic planning, budgetary operations, and supervision of the medical education team. Prior to this role, she was the Manager of Ambulatory Education for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Her roles within the residency program for the past seven years have led her to develop her professional passions in strategic planning across the medical education continuum and ambulatory education scheduling. She holds a BS in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University, a MPH from West Chester University, and a MBA from The Pennsylvania State University. While Sara truly loves her professional role, her favorite role in life is that of Mom to Harrison. Outside of work, Sara enjoys being with her family, spending time in the kitchen, especially baking and making charcuterie boards, planning a good party, cheering on Penn State football, and traveling.

Charita Brown – Education Coordinator

Charita oversees the daily outpatient educational operations for the residents at 3701 Market Street, including continuity clinics and Integrative Learning Module (ILM) experiences. Charita has been with the University since 2000, and has decades worth of experience in administrative operations, University systems and an understanding and appreciation of medical education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Temple University and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Widener University. Charita is married to her husband, Leon, and they are the parents to their daughter, Savannah. Charita loves spending time with her family, vacationing, watching documentaries, reading, and shopping.
