About Dr. Matsumoto

Monica Matsumoto, MD, is an integrated IR/DR resident, class of 2026. Monica is thrilled to be part of the Penn Women In Radiology (WIR) group, as mentorship and sponsorship have been invaluable components to where she is today. She led the Women in Medicine group at her medical school and founded the IR Interest Group. She collaborated with her surgery colleagues to host a regional symposium on women in procedural specialties, in an effort both to recruit more women into these fields and to learn from each other. Monica has interests in the intersection of radiology and global health, and is still learning about her diverse clinical interests in IR.
